However, please note this is NOT an Enrolment Form. A further more detailed form will be sent to you in the January of the year your child is due to start school in line with our Enrolment Policy.

Admissions to the 2024/2025 school year
Application and Decision Dates for admission to 2024/2025
The following are the dates applicable for admission to Junior Infants
The school will commence accepting applications for admission from 6/10/2023The school shall cease accepting applications for admission on 07/11/2022
The date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application is 4/12/2032
The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission is 18/12/2023
Note: the school will consider and issue decisions on late applications in accordance with the school’s admission policy.
Current Procedures for Enrolment in line with Admissions Policy.
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to complete the “Notification of Enrolment Form” which is available from our website or the school office, as soon as possible. This is only a notification of intent to enrol and in no way offers or guarantees a place in the school. Parents are requested to register in one school only.
In line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) Parents will be asked to consent to the information on the Notification of Enrolment Form being used for communication between all schools in the Parish to establish the enrolment for each school.
During the year prior to the year the child is due to start an updated Enrolment Policy will be sent to all Parents/Guardians who have already completed our Notification for Enrolment Form.
Parents/Guardians are asked to sign and return a letter stating they have received this policy.
In the January of the year in which the child is due to start school, an “Application for Enrolment Form” will be sent out to the Parents/Guardians of each child who has returned a “Notification of Enrolment Form”. This form must be completed as comprehensively as possible giving all the following details: pupil’s name, age, address, names and addresses of parents/guardians, contact telephone numbers ( in case of emergency), details of any medical conditions and or any special needs which the school should be aware of, religion, previous schools attended, (if any), and reasons for transfer, (if applicable), together with any other relevant information including such other information as may be prescribed under the Education Welfare Act 2000, and giving permission for previous schools attended to forward all reports, records, psychological reports and amendments, to Scoil Naomh Pio. The completed form should be returned along with an original Child’s Birth Certificate, and a current utility bill. “Application for Enrolment Forms” must be signed by both Guardians if possible.
The Board of Management shall each year, set the enrolment date for new pupils. The closing date for receipt of Application for Enrolment Forms for the school year 2024/2025 is 3.00 pm on 6th November 2023.
On receipt of the Application for Enrolment Forms the child MAY be considered for enrolment. This is only an application for enrolment and in no way offers or guarantees a place in the school Places shall be allocated on December 4th 2023 from these applications in line with the enrolment criteria.
